SSC Important Notice Released For Exams 2023

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a crucial notice concerning the option preference form for the CGL 2022 examination.

Candidates are advised to refer to the Notice of Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2022 (CGLE-2022) published on the Commission’s website on September 17, 2022. The Staff Selection Commission conducted the Tier-I of the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2022 in Computer-Based Mode from December 1, 2022, to December 13, 2022. The Tier-I result was announced on February 9, 2023. Subsequently, the Commission conducted the Tier-II of the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2022 in Computer-Based Mode from March 2, 2023, to March 7, 2023.

Candidates who have appeared in Tier-II examination are required to submit their Option-cum-Preference(s) for post(s)/ department(s) before the final result is declared. To do so, they need to log in to their respective candidate accounts on the SSC (Headquarters) website at and submit their preferences through the designated tab. This option will be available from 27.04.2023 to 01.05.2023, and candidates are advised to submit their preferences during this period.

It is important for candidates to note that the Option-cum-Preference(s) can only be revised during the aforementioned period, and the Option-cum-Preference(s) that the candidate last submitted will be considered final. Candidates who do not submit their Option-cum-Preference(s) during this period will not be given another chance to do so and will not be considered for inclusion in the final merit list/final selection. Therefore, candidates who have appeared in Tier-II must submit their Option-cum-Preference(s) as a mandatory requirement for their candidature to be considered in the final merit list/final selection for CGLE-2022.

PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates should ensure that they only choose posts that are identified as suitable for their disabilities. The allocation of posts will be made based on the “merit-cum-preference of posts” criteria, as per the Notice of Examination. If a PwBD candidate is selected for a post that is not identified as suitable for their disabilities, their candidature will be canceled by the User Department concerned.

It is reiterated that the candidates will not be provided any further opportunity for the exercise of Option-cum-Preference beyond the dates mentioned above. Any grievance received in this regard in any form like Post, Fax, Email, by hand, etc. shall not be entertained by the Commission and will be summarily rejected.
