The CBSE Class 10 board exams for the year 2023 were conducted from February 15 to March 21, while the Class 12 board exams were held between February 15 and April 5, 2023.
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results for the Class 12 Board exams on Friday. The Board shared the news on its official Twitter handle, and the results have been published on the official websites – cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.gov.in. Earlier this week, there was a buzz around the result, with a fake circular claiming the result declaration date as May 11. However, CBSE dismissed this news, stating that the letter was not genuine as they do not release dates in advance.
According to CBSE, this year’s pass percentage stands at 87.33 percent, surpassing the pre-Covid pass percentage of 83.40 percent in 2019.
To discourage unhealthy competition, the Board has decided not to award first, second, or third divisions to students. However, a merit certificate will be issued to 0.1 percent of students who have achieved the highest marks in their subjects.
Thiruvananthapuram has the highest pass percentage among all regions, with 99.91 percent of students clearing the exam. On the other hand, Prayagraj is at the bottom of the list with a pass percentage of 78.05 percent.
Here’s how students can check their results:
1. Log on to any of the official websites.
2. The resulting page will prompt students to enter their roll number, admit card ID, and school number.
3. After clicking the Submit button, the result will be displayed.
4. Students can download and save the displayed result for their convenience.
Additionally, the CBSE Board 2023 results will be available on DigiLocker. Students who have an account on this government service should activate it before the results are announced. Students can seek assistance from their schools to complete this process.
